submitted for TAC before the dismissal ..........
This is one of the initiatives taken in favor of the Association of military personnel. Tell us your opinions and your thoughts .......( we have omitted the names of the Authority for obvious reasons). Subject: Employment of retired military personnel - Medical and exposure to asbestos. _ Dear Admiral ... ... .. ... ... .. my dear General, the Afea Onlus, the Association stands Families Exposed Asbestos Onlus was founded thanks to ' initiative Officers Non-Commissioned Officers (retired) and civil engineers is that the military arsenals of the Fincantieri group, mainly in charge of health protection and the constitutional rights of its members. The reason that drives us to communicate with such senior military depends on the situation that, over time, it has been created in the reality of the province of 'La Spezia (not only) on the Military Personnel placed on leave (officers and NCOs) that during the years of service, has been long and continuously exposed to asbestos. Today we touch "by hand" due to its devastating effects on that show: La Spezia holds the sad record in the field worldwide, deaths for "Pleural Mesothelioma" related to asbestos exposure and experts say that the apex of the phenomenon will occur in future years (2014 - 2020) Given the long latency typical of asbestos. Many of those people on leave are suffering from "minor" that predispose them, exponentially, to more severe disease of the pleural mesothelioma. And these diseases, in most cases are discovered by chance after a persistent cough, bronchitis after a particularly aggressive etc ... Many come to us asking for that help that, in structures in place, have no (moral, Board, legal or medical). They act in person undergoing medical checks and shifted the costs (TAC, spirometry etc ...). These diseases not detectable with conventional x-ray, are then detected by specific tests targeted (TAC). For these reasons we ask the SS.VV. you to ensure that military personnel are preparing to leave active duty and then placed on leave, are subjected to TAC as shareholders of the routine, especially for those who control key protagonists of many years of boarding, have long been exposed asbestos. Consider, not least, the psychological aspect of the staff, becoming conscious of the dangers of so-called "Silent killer", aware that he lives a "very good" candidate for a disease that, given the statistics, in a few cases forgives. On behalf of the Association I thank and salute, La Spezia, there Oct. 16, 2010 The President of Afea Onlus SERARCANGELI PETER
